    How to establish paternity
Hi, I really need some help. The man listed on my birth certificate as my father denies that I am his daughter. Him and my mother were legally married at the time of my birth, but were separated. For medical reasons as well as piece of mind, I need to know if he is my biological father. Is it possible to get a court order to establish paternity? I know its a lot easier if you are under the age of 18, but I am 34yrs old.. PLEASE HELP... :(

I think you would have to start by getting the records to prove that it is a medical emergency to know if he is your father.

I don't know whether you can do this in a court until some issue arises, probably in the setting of probate proceedings. A person that understands blood groups can tell you whether you fit within that of a child of the blood types of your father and mother; you just need to know your mother's, your father's, and your own blood types to get this cursory determination. But just let me say this: mothers are almost always right about these things; what does she say? Hopefully, she's still around.

    1. If he is listed on your birth certificate then he is your father regardless of what he says. Legally.

    2. And no, he will legally be your father unless he wants to prove he is not. You can not get a court order at this point since you are a adult, also depending on where you live there are some states that even if you prove he is not your father since it has been so long he will be considered your legal father for ever ( can' t be changed in some places)

So you can ask him to do a DNA test, if he refuses there is nothing you can do
