Do you know what movie this is
My daughter and I are searching for an old ghost movie?
Does any one at all remember a sort of funny ghost story from between the 1940s to 1960s? Where a group of ghosts live in this house on a cliff. There is a middle aged woman ghost with black or dark brown hair who dresses in red and wears a ton of perfume who is searching for a guy she can throw off the cliff to make her a ghost husband,and a few other ghosts. I believe they come from the kitchen from the basement door or pantry door or something. I think one is younger girl ghost who has blond hair. There is a party that the new owners of the house have and I think the ghost go to, and I believe the red ghost gets what's she wants at the end of the movie(a husband ghost that gets pushed or falls off the cliff. I saw this movie when I was little and can't remember anything else and my mother and I remember the same things and have been trying to find the name of it ever since. ANYONE?? Remember I said its an old movie from maybe the 1940 to 1960s guys... It all takes place in this old house on top a cliff over looking the ocean. I am a big movie buff and have actually seen a lot of movies more than once a. it was a little funny,not really scary more like a big mystery to solve. One had a ton of perfume people would smell when she came around and was looking to throw someone off a cliff to get herself a man. But it was never scary. Its weird how me and my daughter remember the same things but can't for the life of us figure out what it was. For some reason I am remembering maybe an old captain of an old ship, he may have been another ghost.and a young brother and sister that were part of the family that moved in.. I am hoping someone else remembers this movie because we have no clue any names of actors in it. I saw it in the late 70s or very early 80s but the movie was much older made like from the 40s to 60s we believe. Its bothered us for years not being able to remember much else. |
