    Crown with a sensitive tooth
I had a crown put in about 2 months ago, now probably for the last month my tooth has been sensitive to sweets, and hurts when I push on it. What could be the problem:) ?

Oof. There's a possibility that the crown wasn't properly sealed or the root canal wasn't properly done. The sensitivity worries me less than the "it hurts when I push on it" as you really shouldn't have any pain as it should have healed fully by now.

I'm sure FLOSSIE can give you a better assessment, but may I suggest you give the dentist a call?

Sensitivity to sweets often indicates a cavity. You might have a cavity on the tooth on either side of the crown? See your dentist and have him/her take an x-ray to check.
You might also have some root exposure around the crown that could cause some sweet sensitivity, it might also be sensitive to sour and cold.

As for the sensitivity when pushing on it... it could be that the crown is high and needs to be adjusted to your bite OR there may be an infection at the tip of the root and you may need a root canal. My GUESS is that you need to have your bite adjusted. If the crown is high it's best to get it adjusted ASAP so that you don't kill the nerve by beating it up with a heavy bite.(You'd need a root canal for sure then!)

    Give your dentist a call.
