What are the consequences for disobeying a court agreement to see your dad
I'm 16 years old and my dad mentally abuses Me, my sister, and before the divorce my mom. This has lasted about 6 years. He makes a big deal out of the tinyest things and I think he's sick in someway. For example, the day he was kicked out of the house, awhile back, was because they got into an argument about picking up sticks in the back yard. I am terribly sick over all this craziness in my family. I often go days without being able to eat because I'm physically sick over a fight. And I've contemplated suidice countless times. I thought we were doing good and getting along great for a good two weeks, then he blew the silliest little thing out of proportion. I now know that things will never change. For my well-being I've decided I will not, under any circumstances, go to his apartment this summer no matter who says. I don't care if the police try and drag me there, I will not ever go there again. He's dangerous and careless. Since nobody sees it, I've decided this. I want to know what could happen if, worst case scenario, the police are called in attempt to escort me to my dad's house for a visit.

You tell them, someone, anyone that he is causing you serious psychological problems and you are afraid to go there.

The Police are not going to drag you to your father's house - this is a family matter, not a criminal matter. At 16 the Court will listen to what you have to say.

If he insists that you visit your mother can go back to Court and get the visitation schedule amended to no visitation.

If you are contemplating suicide you MUST speak to a mental health counsellor.
