    The Father of someone I am dating is very ill. He keeps his life a secret and will not contact me even for a brief moment and it has bee three weeks. When I do call him which is once a week, he does not want to talk.

    Ask the one you are dating why he is like that.
    Some people feel they do not want to burden others and feel it is better to go through the pain alone.
