My neighbor violated the law by parking a very large motor home and quad trailer along the curb in fron of my home, blocking the fire hydrant and my view of the street. Although illegal and against CC&R's, he didn't care. He removed the blue "bot dot" from the street, so the cops wouldn't notice the hydrant hidden from view. Repeated calls to the police did nothing.

So I stood up for the neighborhood and re-painted the curb, called the police and stood up to the neighbor when he came banging on my door because the cops told him he got the ticket because of my complaint. I don't care if he is pals with the police force as they all go dirt biking together. I have the right to have the law enforced equally. And they can bury me before I will not stand up to blatant corruption.

Some neighbors simply cannot be "gotten along" with.

Here's my concern - and this is half personal and half legal. Here's the big one - it's against the law to deface Government property. The dirt bike riding Cops could have arrested you.

You have already posted various problems you are experiencing with anger issues which you have stated may or may not be caused by your medication. You apparently live in LV - or maybe you just like that screen name. One way or the other some people in NYS - where I live - are just plain nuts - people have shot each other for a lot less than a parking space.

You want to stand at your front door and argue with some guy who comes "banging," fine. You want to stand up to blatant corruption and stand up for your neighborhood - fine. You'd rather be buried than suffer any blatant corruption - fine, it's your life.

I don't know how your wife feels about any of this behavior but that's a side issue.

What I am saying is that as a way of life what you are proposing is not a very good idea and you could very well get yourself seriously hurt.

I would not be recommending this course of action.

I wish I could do that to the fire hydrant on our street, but I think it would attract tourists. :)

Thanks for the tigger and pooh, love them. :):)
