My paychecks are being garnished. I barely made enough money before my checks were garnished to get by. What should I do now that I don't make enough money after the garnishment to provide for what my family needs just to have a place to live?

Get a second job, have another family member help with a job. Find ways to cut your budget, internet, cable, telephone service things that can be done without if you have to. Look for ways like ( angel food services) if you live in the US that has food packages for people for small costs.

Try to find second job or another job, this time something you can get pay in cash, Won't get benefits or tax returns but nobody can garnish that.

If they have a judgment you will have to pay eventually But it doesn't have to be in their terms.

By the way, the maximum deduction allowed by federal law in this type of garnishment is 25% of your chek, your state law limits might be lower
