    Need to know
I have about $15000 in debt. I know it isn't much compared to some. But I hear about chapter 7 and 11 and then I hear of people filing and then have to pay so much a week after the initial charge? I don't get it. Would it even be worth me to file? My parents put me in debt with power, water, cable, internet, phone, I even have a credit card bill and never had one and have 10,000 in medical. Just in the ballpark of what I can think of.

First chapter 11 is for corporations not people,

You as a person can file a chapter 7 or a chapter 13, which is best will depend on you situation. A chapter 7 basically wipes all all debts a chapter 13 is a payment plan based on your ability to pay, Each one has its purpose depending on your needs.

Also how did your "parents" put you in debt ?
And often on medical bills you can work out payment plans,

What was your age when they did this, it may not have even been legal.
If you were under the age of 18 when they put it in your name, they may not even be able to make you pay.

I was of age. The credit card is the only thing that happened when I was underage. I was 17 I believe. And I have tried to take care of that but the number I got was automated and I sat on the phone for over an hour in a half.

Chapter 7 sounds right; Chapter 13 is for debtors who want to keep their home or possessions. Check this: Chapter 7 - Bankruptcy Basics
