Connect a linysys router to my laptop
I get to step 4 (last step) of connecting my router to my laptop and plug it in the wall and it still says waiting for router. Do I need 2 ethernet cables or one? Where do I put the 2nd ethernet cable anyway:confused: :( SO if I disconnect from internet then I'm not connected and the router will not network me correctly.

The box should come with 2 cables.
1 phone cable and 1 ethernet one.
The ethernet connects from the router port to your laptop's network port.
Normally there are TWO ports on a laptop, 1 for phone and 1 for ethernet.

It depends on the make and model as to were they are located, but normally they are on the back, near the battery.
