4x4 solinoid .or switch 99 silverado
my service 4x4 comes on... the 4x4 still works I think but it takes a while to get it to switch out of 2wheel to 4 wheel... the lady I bought the truck from said that it needs a starter solinoid but I'm thinking maybe it just needs a new switch... any thoughts?? Thanks I appreciate any feedback

The solinoid you mentioned is part of the starter motor, and takes care that the very strong electricity current to the start motor is connected/disconnected. The start (contact) switch powers the solinoid which powers the start motor.
