Probation transfer to go to college
I am 24 with 2 kids, a wife and I want to go to school in Florida. I am supposed to be on probation for 3 yrs. I have finished the first year so far but with some problems I have had 2 back surgeries in that time (3 total for my back) so I wasn't able to do any community service. My charges was masked home invasion and my friend had a knife so I think they put something on their about that as well not sure what, I believe this is a felony. I know everyone says they are good people and they aren't but I am. I am actually a geek I want to go to school to make video games. The reason I even did the crime was because I got addicted to percocet during my back problems and I was robbing a drug dealer. I have been out of work for the past 3 yrs because of hurting my back on the job (workers comp) then when my job found out about the crime I was let go. I have just settled my case and want to get out of the low income housing I live in now and go to school with my money. I already started the process of going to school doing the fasfa and talking to admissions. I read in a previous post that I should get a job and a place to live also write a request to Florida and my po. But I don't want to spend unnecessary money to get a place and enroll if I can't go. Please if any or everyone can give my some advice I will be very grateful from the bottom of my heart. TY

    Hello a:

Go read my "transfer of probation" at the top of the criminal law page.

So, here's the deal. You're not going to get a transfer unless you HAVE a place to live AND a job or school. So, it isn't that you should get a place to live. It's that you won't get transferred without a place to live.

Look, IF you follow my instructions, they WON'T turn you down.

Or just find a school in your own state.

I am writing the letters now to my PO and to Florida. Should I send them out after I talk to my PO? I have read ex-con's instructions and I am doing them as fast as I can. I believe I can get a place to live but the thing is I don't want to put money out there and not get a refund either from the apartment or from my school. I can't go to a school in my state due to that there are non out here that offer game development. I am confused to the fact about the living arrangements should I talk to the place that I want to live and say that I would like to move in at such and such a date or just say to the po's that I am planning on trying to get this place as a residence? Sorry about all this but I do appreciate all the help you can give me I just really want to go and don't want to wait another 2 years to wait to try and get my life and career started help
