Male orgasm
I was wondering if males always have an orgasm when they have sex (oral too)? Sometimes I can tell if my husband has one but not always, so I was just wondering.

Hummm?
I don't know about any other males, but when I have an orgasm, it is VERY obvious.
Are you asking if he could have an orgasm, without ejaculation?
I've never heard of it, at least not after puberty?

Men at times lose an erection without having a orgasm, many causes but normally for men it is considered an erection problem, since normally they will.

Ejaculation is the physical response to an orgasm. i.e. to ejaculate semen, the pleasurable waves/contractions in the base of the penis ejaculte the semen-so YES we orgasm when we ejaculate EVERY TIME.

It wasn't a dumb question. Some people say that there is a difference between orgasm and ejaculation-well ys there is, except that for 99% of us ejaculation feels great due to an orgasm. As they occur simultaneously.

As xrayman mentioned, orgasm and ejaculation are actually two separate events that are usually very intimately tied. Some men with paralysis can experience erections without feeling it, and ejaculation can be caused with eletrical impulses without the feel of an orgasm.
I'm guessing from your ordering of words... does a man have an orgasm when he ejaculates, means you were wondering about when your guy ejaculates... that his response has left you wondering if he is feeling the orgasm? If he is ejaculating, id expect an orgasm. Intensity can be tied to a lot of things.
If your concern is the reverse... the posibility of an orgasm without ejaculation, its more complicated. First, it is possible to feel an orgasm without ejaculation, or at least a full, strong ejaculation. Its commonly talked about as a method of having "multiple" orgasms in men... and I've experienced this to some degree... I just feel its more like a longer, somewhat weakened orgasm with a delayed ejaculation or one which is not as "explosive". I've never experienced this in a way that I thought it had the complete absence of ejaculation... though volume can be really decreased if you can control pressure (kegel's aren't just for the ladies, guys)
The physical pressure of buildup and strong ejaculation, in my opinion, creates a stronger orgasm, that I think is more "earth shattering" as opposed to the smaller "waves" of pleasure I've felt with a drawn out orgasm with limited ejaculation. If a male self stimulates to orgasm but uses strong pressure to limit ejaculation, it seems diminished to me. Odd fact of the moment... the same added pleasure of strong ejaculation through the urethra is sort of felt when a man's bladder is really, really full and you finally get to a bathroom. Not saying its an orgasm, but there IS a pleasurable component to that pressure release that is similar to the strong ejaculation pleasure I've been babbling about.
Also, a man can have a retrograde ejaculation, where fluid volume doesn't come out with the orgasm. If this is what you were talking about, time to see a doctor. It can be tied to prostate issues, diabetes, and other things.

Absolutely agree with this post. Most of the time orgasm is correlated with ejaculation. But I have also experienced what he describes but I usually get it when I try to control ejaculation by kegel. When I feel I'm about to orgasm and ejaculate, I try to kegel and if I do so at the right time I only orgasm without intense ejaculation. I might lose my erection for a few seconds sometimes and notice additional semen but I can get erection back in a few seconds to a minute max (compared to 10-15minutes if I ejaculated). To be honest, orgasm itself might not be too pleasurable but the reason for it could be the fact that I am forcing myself to a rather uncomfortable condition which could be the reason why orgasm by itself is not as joyful as ejaculation and orgasm. And like I said it is not easy just to orgasm and control ejaculation. Takes lots of practice and doing kegel at the right moment.
