What Obama says, and what it really means.
Are there really that many Americans, who don't really understand the cryptic way this guy uses to promote even more re-distribution of wealth in our Nation?

Seriously, when he says things like "we need to capture some of this economic growth, and re-invest it where "we" know it is most needed".

Or perhaps the way he uses the term "tax credits" so freely and openly?

Re-invest it where "WE" know it is needed? Yeah, take it away from those who have earned it, and give it to those who have not.

There is no such thing anymore as a "tax credit". What we have in reality is "Government Hand-outs" at the expense of the high achievers.

The liberals can't stand the idea that anyone in our society should have more than anyone else. It is the principal philosophy of Socialism, keep everyone equal, despite the fact that more effort, should result in bigger reward.

These so called tax credits, are simply the taking of money, from the higher achievers, and paying it to those who pay no taxes to begin with.

How the hell can anyone call that a "tax credit" with a straight face?

True tax credits ended when the "earned income credit" program started. Since then, anything called a tax credit is really a lie.

Why do you suppose the left will not use the correct term for these programs?

Why can't they just be straight with the American public, and say what it is that they are really doing?

I believe that even the high ranking Liberal Democrats know that if they used the real words, and spoke the truth, that many of the very people that support them, would do an about face, once the fancy terms, and misleading statements were replaced with "we believe that no matter how hard you work, no matter how many hours you put in each day, that you do not have a right, to have more money than your neighbor, who sits on the couch, watching Oprah, while shoveling potato chips down their throat".

Nope, they can't say that, can they?

    What say you?

All political leasers do the same thing, they re-assign revenue towards the causes they campaigned for. It's not an Obama, or Democrat thing, it's all politicians, conservative and liberal. Never is there a change in administration where the tax money has not been distributed to other programs - be it environment, defense, education, etc.

I am very poor compared to most people and I even have enough sense to realize that what they are doing is not good.
While I will take what I am eligible for --earned income credit, LIHEAP for utilities,
I just don't see why we need more programs or more taking away from the richer people.
The hypocrisy of it all too is that these very ones that preach redistribution of the wealth are the very ones that live in the gated communities that cost an arm and a leg and they drive and fly anywhere anytime they want. Why aren't they putting THEIR money where their mouth is!

This has NOTING to do with environmental issues, defense, or education!

It has to do with over taxing the higher achievers, and donating their money to the under achievers.

It is a LIBERAL/DEMOCRATIC belief, that this is how things should be, no one should have more than any other, period.

He is talking about investing in industry and refitting current industry in order to end our dependence on imported oil!! All we do now is borrow money from China to pay and MAKE RICH our opec buddies/enemies.

The Republicans are all about importing oil and have been since 1980 when Reagan tossed aside Carter's start symbolized by Reagan ripping down the solar panels off the roof of the White House. Republicans have been in power 20 our of the last 28 years, and they crippled Clinton's second term by impeaching him over NOTHING important. Gingrich and the Republican congress hampered Clinton's initiatives, too.

Republicans have led America down the road to potential destruction. Obama is talking about reversing our path.

He is not talking about give-aways to poor Americans.

I'm sorry, but you are wrong.

The most recent "tax credit" he has mentioned was in reference to all the defaults on student loans, and how he wants to give a "tax credit" to these students, so that the "over achievers" can help pay for their education, while struggling to pay for their own children's education, at the same time.

This is what I mean, when I ask, why can't you socialists just be honest in the expression of your beliefs and ideals?

Call it what it really is, Redistribution of wealth, communism at it's finest.

While it could cost you a large portion of your supporting base if you were open and honest about it, I would have much more respect for the honesty.

Is Barack just another liberal/fascist hypocrite? "the Chicago Tribune sums up some of their answers: "My kids have gone to the University of Chicago Lab School, a private school, because I taught there," Obama responded. "It was five minutes from our house. So it was the best option for our kids." That's right, private school for their kids, public for yours; and by the way, "... all you public school teachers are underpaid and we'll fix that when I take over, as well as reparations... "* http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Do_Barack_Obama's_children_attend_public_school
    * Parody from George_1950 (the last quote)

This war is not the cause of our economic problems.

The Vietnam war, cost America about 17% of our National Income.

The Korean war, cost America about 14% of our National Income.

This war, is costing us about 4% of our National Income.

It is the socialistic punishment of achievement in this Nation that is the cause of our economic problems. The harder one works, the more one achieves, the more the government takes from them.

This is also true of the treatment of the Evil Big Corporations, you know, the ones responsible for creating jobs.

I don't know of any poor person that is creating jobs, do you?

    I truly enjoy these posts!

It is so satisfying to see you resort to things like "get your head out of your a%%" in place of any legitimate and intelligent response.

All politicians have their agenda which will sound good to the voter and be utilized entirely different once they're in office. The middle class that works the hardest will end up paying the most in taxes. This is a 'break your back middle class' nation. Obama is preaching to the choir to gain the vote of the poor. Evidently they believe he will take them out of poverty.
Amazing how many people will believe anything!

If we all just sit back and keep doing the same things, we're going to keep getting the same things, until there is nothing left.

DON'T VOTE THE STATUS QUO - Libertarian is the way to go.

All I know is we Americans have two choices for president. The first is a person who claims not to be of a faith he was raised in who has known mobsters for business friends who talks out of both sides of his mouth or simply says uh uh uh if he does not want to answer the question and has a former(?) pastor who now lives in an exclusive community in a 12 million dollar home who hates America (great role model). And the second is a person who was supposedly a prisoner of war who did/did not receive special treatment from his captors in exchange for information and cooperation, who has a violent behavioral streak, who just happened to marry a very rich woman, amazingly bought his senatorial seat, is one of the oldest persons who ever ran for president who possibly has the beginnings of senility. I for one am not going to bother to vote for either of these wonderful gentlemen as I basically don't care anymore as either one of these bozos will ultimately ruin America regardless of what their name is in the next 4 years. The village idiot paved their way very nicely for them to finish the job he started. Tax credits are irrelevant. Be happy we can at least feed our children unlike some foreign countries who are having food wars and food riots now trying to feed their children. Pretty soon we'll be at each other's throats trying to buy food that is not available for sale at any price.
