Light in fan will not operate
I have a 54" Windward II ceiling fan made by Hampton Bay. The circline fluorescent bulb has stopped functioning; I checked the bulb and it is good. I cannot find any toubleshooting information or part numbers in the owner's manual or method to contact Hampton Bay. Can you help me? We love the fan; it operates with a remote and everything works except the light.

The fluorescent must have a starter or ballast, either of which may be electronic, and encased in the lamp base. Be sure power is going to the lampholders and they feel "tight" when you put in the lamp.

The light had functioned so that all connections were tight.
Is it possible we have to replace the starter or ballast or is it possible to do that?
If so, how do find the correct part?
    Thanks for your help

The ballasts often go bad in these, contact the manufacturer for a replacement.
