    Hernia in child
    Last day my nephew age 3 had a surgery to repair hernia. My concern is that if hernia is repaired is it go away forever?

    I had a hernia surgically corrected when I was 10 years old. I'll be 60 this coming January. No repaired part is ever as strong as before it was injured. The best I can say, is: It depends on what your child does for the rest of life.
