My Uncontrolable Temper
I don't know what it is about me, but I always hurt the people that care about me the most. Im a very easy fun person to get along with, but it seems in my relationship all we do is fight, and most times I blow up, or I tend to blow certain stuff out of reasoning. What is wrong with me? I don't mean to blow up like I do it just always happens, and Im scared that I'm on the verge or losing my partner because of my temper. Help

At least in my area, there are many anger management classes and a lot of free or low cost depending on income

I left my lover because of his anger. You always hurt the one you love. Why? Have you tried a punching bag?

You need to find an avenue for your anger. My father had a very bad temper and then I found it made it's way into me. I swore to myself that I would make sure never to let it control me like it did my father. I have to work hard at it everyday and every once in a while I can burst, but that's because I did not vent in smaller doses. When I burst it scares the ones I love and I can not have that happen. I have found, believe it or not, certain video games clear my mind and provide a safe release. Now I don't play daily, or even monthly for that fact, but only when I need to really get it out. You need to find what calms you. Is it music, is it games, is it sports, or even baking cookies. Everyone is different. The most important thing is to make sure you tell yourself not to let it control you. Good luck.

There is a saying "When a man is wrong and won't admit it, he always gets angry" I don't know that I believe it and I have a lot of experience with getting angry.
But I do believe that when a man gets angry, he is always in the wrong.
When the person you are talking to starts ranting you probably stop trying to consider what his point is, and just concentrate on the effects of his anger. So nothing is being accomplised after the point of blowup anyhow.
Its tough because its automatic for me. The literal button is pushed. I don't have very much control over it but I keep trying. Anger management training-YES!
