    Probation violation bond
What is a typical bond for 1st time probation violation for dirty urine in Ohio? No previous jail time served, just put on probation for possession.

Depends on your area, my area, no bond, you are held to the hearing.

I don't think you're going to be able to be bonded like Chuck said. I'm in Ohio and am not familiar with anyone getting a bond for a probation violation in all the years I worked at criminal attorney's offices. This is regardless of if you did any jail time or not. The fact you were dirty on your test will have to be decided at your probation violation hearing. You may be picked up and wait for the hearing in jail. You may be picked up when you report to probation the next time and wait until your hearing in jail.

I have heard of it in some places, or at least other posters here have acted like it was possible. My guess in more liberal states on criminal laws

    Hello bubba:

There is no bond for a probation violation because due process ISN'T part of the procedure. He's not entitled to ANY of the protections in the due process clause, because he's already been convicted, and is a prisoner of the state doing his time on the street.

excon's correct. This is not a part of the due process so no bond is required. This would be under the post conviction phase where all pre conviction stuff goes out the window.
