OK. I have had the mirena in for a year and a half. After my son was born. I have always had regular periods that come at 28 day cycles. Except for this last month. My period came a week and a half late. And when I got it it was very lite for 9 days. I have pregnancy symptoms and have taking pregnancy test that all come out negative. I went to the doctor and she said the iud was in place and that it was normal to feel pregnant. But I have noticed my breast heavier and my stomach get rounder and bigger.and I have had sum clear discharge these last couple of days. I have been going to urinate a lot more lately and find myself having trouble sleeping. Has anyone gone through this and have been pregnant? My body tells me I am but I don't know what to do. And I'm concerned that if I am it might cause the baby problems that I have the iud in place.

I can't say anything about the Mirena in particular. However, I can share this. My mother's first cousin gave birth to her last son (he's 37 now) and her IUD was stuck to the side of his head. He was born completely normal - but IUDs of that day were not 100%.

Did your doctor do a blood test? If yes and it came back negative, I think it is just your body playing hormonal tricks on you.

See what happens with your next period. If it is still off, and you still suspect pregnancy is possible, ask for a quantitative blood test. Pregnancy with a properly placed IUD is not common, but it can happen.

Hey did you find out anything yet with your results? I too might be pregnant with the copper IUD though. I am going tonight to Dr to get pregnancy test. B/C for the last 6 days I have felt sick and all pregnancy symptons I know I have 2 kids but was pregnant 4 times I lost to due to being pregnant on birth control that is so I am prone to it. I was just wondering if you found out any answers and can help me along the way. Thanks

I just had a baby boy. He is 7 months old. I have IUD put in since 60days after I give birth. Now I have feeling same like your. But I use pregnancy tests it came out negative. But I feel dizzy, been throwing up for days now. And have pain in my lower stomatch same like my 1st pregnancy. But I don't know am I pregnant or what?

I have been om IUD for about 6 months now. The last three weeks I have been feeling a movement in my stomach. I can not describe it other than it feels like I am pregnant and child is moving and kicking. This sounds crazy to but I think of anything else that feels that way. I do not have any other symptoms of pregnancy but that feeeling is unmistakable. Would a home pregnancy test be accurate?
