    Is it right to take away a parents rights
    If someone wants to adopt their stepchild, isit right to take away the biological parents rights.

    That depends. I can assure you that its highly unlikely the step parent can "take away" the bio parents rights. If the bio parent refuses to agree to the adoption, it ain't going to happen. Unless the bio parent represents a danger to the child or can't be found after a reasonable attempt, no court will grant a TPR.
