That I do. Seems like there's a kink in the notification system. I'm not getting any notifications when people post answers to any questions.
How you be, Starty?

I'm holding up, Starty, thanks for asking. Sometimes I find it easier to partition off parts of life while at work... focus on what I can change... does that make sense?
The family is getting worse. Hospice has been called, Grandpa is getting angrier and more upset from the Alzheimer's, and they've given Grammy less than 6 months. I'll be headed up there in a couple weeks for a few days.

Chicky, you will come through, so will your family. Act like they are still alive and love them as much as you can for now. Remembering is for when they are gone. Sounds like they are going to need to get settled in a new placesoon. Hugs sweet Chicky.
EDIT:::::::::::::::::::
Good luck Sneezy

Thank you, Starty. I've come to the realization that I cannot change the outcome, but I can sure effect the Now. :)

Hi all!
Apparently I forgot to log off last night, oops.
HC, I'm so sorry to hear about your family. Hold on to the now, make every minute count, you'll make it through, you're tough. I know how it feels to lose loved ones, it's amazing how strong you can be when you have to. My parents died within 6 1/2 months of each other. My dad went first, cancer. My mom died second, also cancer. I fell apart at home, my son and husband got me through it. Hold on to your family, be there for them and let them be there for you. Also, you know that we'll be there for you too, after all we all consider ourselves your family too.
Sneezy, Biggie has a good point, did you have poppy seeds? My mom used to make this great cake, it was 2/3 poppy seeds, thank goodness they didn't do drug testing at school. Oh, what did you do while in Amsterdam? Here's hoping you come back clean. ;)
Hey Starty pants, nice to see you.
As for us getting a bit crazy, well, when the sun sets evil Alty comes out. ;):)

Ya, I've been busy, and tired, exhausted actually. Late nights, chatting with Starby (love it) and my friend from California called last night. He's been teaching himself to play the guitar, played me a few tunes, had tears in my eyes. He plays the piano as well, he's magnificent and also a great singer. He'll be coming to visit on the 21, so we are making some plans. His son lives in Calgary (not to far from Starby) and he gets to have him for the entire summer, so he's going to be doing lots of fun stuff. I am going to visit him in October, was going to do in September, but way too busy.
Here's the song he played. You're probably to young to remember it;
Fleetwood Mac – Never Going Back Again – Music at Last.fm

Couldn't listen to the song. Sounds like you'll have a blast though :)
I'm so ready to go home... 2 1/2 hours left!

Only 2 1/2 hours? It's only 1pm here. Do you have any big plans for the weekend, or is packing the only thing on the list?;)
I love your new signature addition. I do have to admit though, I love throwing darts, but I've got good aim. ;):)

Lol... thanks. That was in that RAH post yesterday. I'm really not sure if that girl is "for real" - there are just WAY too many things going wrong in her life... and her "I have a degree in psychology but I can't even form correct sentence structure..." Not so sure... She was pretty much attacking a lot of the uber members and I just came up with that one. :)
I'm headed to Indiana this weekend for my cousin's graduation party. Should be fun... for a day.. lol.. That's the "other" side of the family - the weird side.

My whole family is weird, there are no "sides" :)
I read that thread, couldn't believe some of the things she was saying and all to the higher ups. I loved your responses, and was going to respond myself, but sadly the thread was closed. Sob, and I had a dart all ready. ;):)

HC, everyone in Indiana is weird. Trust me, I live here.
Give me strength, it's been 21 hours and 18 minutes since my last cigarette... I think I is doing purty durn good. Course I'm bouncing off the walls, but that could have something to do with all the caffeine...

YAY! Woo-hoo! You go girl!! Proud of you!!
Lol... my family is strange. Will be a good time though, first time in years we've all been together. The cousin that is graduating is the last of all of us to graduate from high school. It's a weird feeling. Everyone's kids are the next graduates... wow... that's even weirder...

I know, I look back at when I graduated in 2002, and think... man, I'm getting old!
This is the first time I've tried to quit, so here's hoping. I know my house will be covered with blankies by fall because that's my quit smoking activity... CROCHET! MMMM... love yarn!
