    Industrial piercings
    I have a bump on the inside of my ear where the bar enters. Is it infected?

    Sounds like hypertrophic scarring, keep cleaning and turning but do not change the jewelry or mess with it too much and be careful not to bump it. If it is still fairly new (less than 4 months) it could be swelling as it takes a while to heal, mine had bumps at first even though it was cleaned and not infected but they went away. If it bleeds a lot, is bright red, is warm to the touch, or is EXTREMELY painful, it may be an infection and you should go see your doctor. Do not remove the jewelry if it is an infection as that could trap the infection inside the skin and such.
