My laundry room tub overflows when washer is emptying. I have tried drainer in it several times and also tried flushing it out with a flusher. Any suggestions on what else I can try before I have to go the expense of a plumber?? Thanks you!

Can you please provide a little bit more detail on that tub?
You mean to say that some part of the drain is not properly passing the water into the sewerage pipes?
If that is correct, there is a blockage somewhere in that pipe.
When you use another drain nearby (a sink for instance) does that show the same problem when you open the tap fully for a couple of minutes?

If it is only in that "tub" outlet, than it is a local problem. If the problem is more general, than somewhere the sewerage pipes are blocked. Is your toilet flushing properly without tending to overflow?

It is only in the laundry room tub. No other problems. I am on city sewer lines. Looks like it is a local problem?? Any solutions?

Maury, your washer requires a 2" drain line and that will be increased by code to 3" in the next year. Your laundry tub drain is likely 1 1/2 or 2" and that just may not be enough to handle the amount of water a washer can poump out in 1 or 2 minutes of draining. The tub has a trap under it, remove the trap and rod into the horizontal pipe that goes into the wall, you'll likely hit a 90 elbow 8" in so use a 1/4" snake to do your rodding.
