I have posted a couple of times about a few relationships after my failed marriage. I have yet again been heartbroken and used :rolleyes: A guy I have known since last October and have been on and off with four times now, has yet again chosen to have no contact with me and basically ignored me for the past 8 days after we have been dating again for 4 weeks. I feel as though I have been simply used for sex and then tossed aside because he has become fed up with me. I have not hounded him, come across needy to him or acted desperate, I have been as cool as I could be, whilst also showing him I am interested ! My friends and family all tell me to forget him, move on, he is a user, he will never treat you with respect, etc etc.
My problem is that - I know they are right ! So why the hell do I keep on running back to him, its as though I am addicted or something. He has hurt me on three occasions now and has no consideration for my feelings or thoughts. I just need some really good advice on how to get this man out of my system for good and how to move on from him and never go back there. Thank you.

Just don't answer your phone. Every time he tries to get you back, remember the raw feeling in your heart when he ends it. Why put yourself through it. There are plenty of great men out there, why waste your time on one who isn't worthy. Just keep telling yourself you're better than that.:)

The best way to break this cycle is to cut contact with him, and remember what he has done before. Love yourself enough to want better, and this relationship is not doing anything but giving you misery and pain. He hurt you but you have let him. Don't let him near your heart again.

It seems like you have a need to prove everybody wrong and prove something to yourself. Unfortunately, the reality is usually with the masses so keep moving forward.

You probulary keep letting him back because you think "this time he wil stay and do right" or you feel there's no one better. You should listen to your friends and family and don't allow him back in your life giving you false hope. Sometimes people on the outside sees things about someone you don't or ignore,in this case your ignoring all the sign and letting yourself be used. A person will do any thing you allow them to do and get over of you if they see they can. Don't be blind and open your eyes and see him for what he really is.
