Positions of Water Heater Levers for Summer Use
I reside in a condo. The heating and air conditioning systems in our units operate on a dual system. When air conditioning is being used, the system operates off heat pumps. As the summer begins and air conditioning is needed, there are two levers on my water heater that need to be shut off so that hot water is not sent to the air-conditioner. For the summer should the levers be vertical to the pipe or parallel to the pipe?

    Thank you,
    Mae

Call a person in your area who has the knowledge of your system. It could be set up many different ways and I would not want to misleed you.
