    Fan rattled then stopped completely on whole house ac
    The fan was rattling loudly on the out door unit and now has quit completely . The house began to heat up so we shut down the air conditioning, Any ideas what could be wrong

    A fan blade may be broke or the hub has broke loose from the fan blades on the condenser motor. Will it spin freely if you try to spin it? (WITH THE POWER OFF)! Is it loose or out of balance?

    All fixed a loose wire was causing the rattle and now its all fixed thanks
