    Employee Theft
How long does an employee theft stay on your background record in the state of Florida? I was convicted of the crime in 2005. I need a job and need to know if it is still on my record. If it is how can it be removed? For the record I have learned my lesson and then some. I would be the best employee ever. I would not even take a pen from my employer.

Generally a criminal conviction will stay on your record indefinitely. You might try petritioning the court to expunge it. That might go through depending on the circumstances of the crime. I suggest you consulot an attorney.
