Ok so like... this is a new person now and we've been friends for like 2 years... We really get along and he's really funny... I liked him all last year and I still like him this year... everyone last year said that he liked me too so I was happy but he never said anything to me... so our sixth grade dance is coming up and he made this bet with his friend... he lost so he had to ask me to the dance... even though he's not going to be there... I had to say yes for my friend... long story... but then he asks this other girl out and she says yes... meanwhile I thought that he liked me and all that cause like he said if I asked him he would probably say yes... but now he's going out with someone and I don't know if she really likes him... I know that he likes her but I don't want him to be crushed if like she doesn't like him or something... I really like him though and I can't get him off my mind... HELP!:confused: :(

With you being so young, I'm sure he's probably just as confused with who likes who as you are...
He did tell you that if you asked him to the dance, he'd say yes... so, he does enjoy your company at least...
If you're comfortable just being friends with him, just let it go at that.. it's fun to just laugh and hang out with him.. and give him the space he needs to find out what a great girl you are, and to decide whether he likes the other girl..
Try to relax and enjoy your friends... even him... Eventually you will get over thinking of him nonstop... but there will be other guys in the future who will leave you wondering! It's all a part of love and life... Good luck
