    Lower ball joint/control arm
I have a 2002 c230 Mercedes and was told by the dealer I need to have the right lower ball joint/control arm replaced. I have 150,000 miles on my car. Need new front brake pads and rear pads and rotors. But have no noise or shaking when braking. What do you think? Second opinion?

Difficult to tell without seeing it. I can see the possibility of replacing the lower ball joint with 150,000 miles on the car. However, I don't know why the control arm needs replacing--get a good explanation on that. After they do the brake job, be sure they change all of the brake fluid.
