Hi, found out that I have 3 ovarian cysts. 1 on my left and 2 on my right. I always seem to have some pain on my right side. I miss my periods for months a t a time and I have noticed that I can't loose weight! I had went to the doc because I didn't have a period for 5 months.. she did a ultra sound and told me" everything is fine, you just have a un normal period". Ok good right, I thought OK nothing bad. They had to send me the tests to my email because I requested them. I looked at them and I saw written down.. that they found these cysts on my ovaries! The doctor didn't say anything about them. So instead of birth control I went to get acupunture and it worked.. I got my period! Unfortunately it is too expensive for me to keep going ( I don't have insurance). So Basically right now, I have some pain.. my stomach is really sticking out down there, and I have been going double time at the gym but I can not loose weight. I was wondering if anyone knows how to loose weight with cysts or how to get rid of them. I know I can get them surgically removed.. would I have a big scar.. would I be able to have kids after that? If anyone could help I t would be much appreciated, Thank you :)

My best friend just had two ovarian cysts removed. She had one three inch long scar. And they said that her chances of conceiving were not affected. You really should have them removed. And I would NEVER go back to the doctor that told you missing your period for 5 months was just an irregular period and must have just forgotten to let you know about the cysts. THat's messed up. Anyway, my best friend went to Thailand to have her surgery, it was so much cheaper there and she stayed in the hospital for three days to heal, where here in America that probably would have kicked her out the next morning.

Hey your story kind of sounds like mine have you had any luck ? I also don't get periods for months and I can't loose weight either. How old are you if you don't mind the question ?

Sounds like pcos polycystic ovarian syndrome. Contact an endocronologist

I am 24years old. I started this herb called "Jia Wei Xiao San" that the natural doc gave me.. and I got my period.. finally a REAL period. I still am having trouble looseing weight though. It's hard for me because I was the type that could loose weight with a snap of a finger. It's not Pcos, they tested me for that. They say stress can cause you to get cysts. Herbs help a big deal, and like I said before so does the mayan abdominal massage. Have you gone to the doctors?

They actually ruled out pcos.. I am going to go to another doc soon though, thanks!
