Installed new garbage disposal now water draining from sink vent
I'm not sure what I did wrong but after installing a new garbage disposal I have water draining from the sink vent when the dishwasher drains. This was my first time doing this but the sink vent was not draining water with the old disposal so I know I did something wrong, just need some help finding out what anf correcting it.
Thanks!

Hey Jack:
I am wondering if you removed the KNOCK OUT from the disposal dishwasher connector?
Here, you need to take a flat screwdriver or similar and you need to "knock" the plug out of the disposal inlet for the dishwasher.
Read the instructions over again... should show you how to do this.
Let me know if you did this already... and then will try to come up with other ideas (there are a few... ;) ).
Otherwise, that should get you up and running.

You are by far... not the first one to forget this one! ;)
That plug is there, of course, because not everyone has a dishwasher.
I have had many apprentices and even a couple licensed plumbers that forgot to do this.
Hope that fixes it!
