    Old dog won't eat
    Hello

My 15 year old staffy cross won't eat, only in the last couple of days. She is very slow on her feet and has started digging holes all over the yard. Can anyone help. I can't afford all the tests the vet would like to do.

I'm sorry that your dog won't eat. It almost sounds as if she's tired. A little more information?

Is she drinking water? That's very important.

What tests does your vet recommend, and on what were the recommendations based?

At this dog's age, she needs some testing done, since this could be almost anything. Talk to your vet and see if he can prioritize the tests--do the ones that are likely to give the most information first. Also ask if they have "care credit"--it is a medical credit card for animals that you can apply for right at the vet's office.
Is she spayed? The combination of not eating & suddenly digging holes makes me wonder about nesting behavior--possible false pregnancy, ovarian cyst, or uterine infection?
She may also have a fever & is digging the holes to cool off
