    Garbage disposal is exploding
Our garbage disposal keeps exploding whenever we use it. I used it a few days ago for some carrot and cucumber skins. Ever since the sink won't drain and if we use the disposal it explodes through either the main sink or the side sink that is attached to it. We have used "liquid draino" but that does not seem to be helping. What can we do?

Lets first stop with the Drano, it will make the correct fix dangerous. The discharge from the disposal is not clogged so we can skip that, it seems to be discharging quite fine out the other sink. Your trap and or horizontal drain pipe are now plugged with carrotts and whatever else you put into the disposal. Disconnect the trap and have a bucket unedr it to catch the pint of sludge and water. Flust the trap but its likely pretty clear, now rod into the horizontal drain pipe. You will hit a 90 elbow about 8" in so us a 1/4" snake to rod and go sveral feet beyond the elbow. Reassemble and flush with plenty of hot water for sveral minutes. I finish by filling both sinks with hot water and then pull the plugs at the same time, you will create a scouring action in the opened drain.

Guys don't laugh at me last year I had the same problem, found the horizontal pipe and trap were plugged with carrots like Ballengerb1 says, I disconnected the trap, used the garden hose with a towel to seal the opening, some one helped me to open the water and flushed the drain, cleaned the trap installed it, have no problem since then, I hope this will work for you, if not follow Ballengerb1 instructions.
