    How do you prosecute perjury?
Is filing an “affidavit of marriage” with the title company, swearing you are not married when you are married to refinance your house in a community state perjury? Is it criminal? Where do I begin to file charges? I found the document while searching public records.
    Thanks

    Hello Coyote:

YOU don't prosecute perjury, a prosecutor does. Call him or your local cops.

An affidavit of marriage is a certificate that claims you are married if you have lost or cannot find, your marriage certificate.

Are you saying that someone filed a certificate stating they were not married when they really were?

    P.S. excon is right.

Wow how cold blooded! Call the cops but there just going to make a report and not know what to do.. (their investigationi will take a long time.) Call a criminal prosecutor, get a free consultation maybe 2 or 3 and you'll know more. Sorry I couldn't help more just keep doing the right thing
