    Heating costs
My husband and I designed and built a new home 3 years ago, it is one of the ones with the styrofoam forms and filled with concrete so it is already insulated inside and out, we had insulation blown in the attic and it is well sealed, we decided not to burn wood in this house and we let the contractor advise us on a heating system, it is a weil mclain gold oil
Boiler and the contractor said we would be able to heat this house with a candle, the house is an open concept the floor in the basement has the coils, and now to the reason for this question, the contractor was wrong and we are spending far too much on oil I would like to know if there is an wood burning attachment that we can put in the house, we are looking at the outside furnace also but this is a question we cannot seem to get an answer for. Does anyone know if in fact there is such an attachment.
    Thank you

Yes you can get a wood fired boiler. Check with your local contractors in regards to price. Every area in the country is different on price and rules. Check with your local building department as to weather or not you can burn a wood fired boiler in your area. Many areas now outlaw some wood burning devices because of pollution. Some areas of Montana is one example.

I appreciate your answer and thank you for the info, I should also say that I am in Ontario Canada but I will in fact contact a contractor and ask the question. Once again, thank you
