    How to wire new thermostat
    Trying to install a new thermostat the old one is a totaline and has the following wires connected

    o/w2 orange
    R red
    y/y2 yellow
    G green
    C blue
    w/w1 white

    On the new thermostat which is a Hunter 44260 it has the following

    G
    Rc
    Rh
    Y/O
    W/B
    Y1

    Cannot figure out which wires to connect to which areas.

    Thanks for any help you can give us.

    Go buy something other than a Hunter.

    Cap C, you won't use it.
    Rc jumped to Rh and becomes R

    Everything else you can match up.

    If your new tstat has a C terminal you will use the blue wire. It eliminates the need for batteries. I second getting something other than Hunter. Get a name brand, Honeywell, White-Rogers, RobertShaw, etc. Make certain it is for a heat pump if that is what you have (it appears so).
