A week ago I had a shred of browny mucus when I went to go to the toilet and after followed what I originally thought was my period but it only lasted 3days and was quite light, the colour was browny, I didn't have any cramps or pains but since then I have had what has occasionaly felt like a mild stitch and slight lower back ache and I have constantly been needing the toilet some mornings going nearly every half hour, so I went to have a test for a water infection and it came back negative, the nurses were hopeless and said I didn't need a blood test but if I was worried to wait until I was next due on or take a HPT again in a couple of weeks as I've taken 3in the past week and all have been negative. I was also at work today and came across very faint and nauseas. Does anyone know if I could be pregnant with these symptons??

Yes, they could be symptoms of pregnancy... since the light "period" came on about the time you normally would have started... try another test in about a week and see what results you get at that time. Treat yourself as if you might be pregnant, just in case, until you know for sure one way or the other.

Thanks for your reply, yes I will try another test in a week or two or thinking of going back to the doctors and insist on seeing a doctor this time because the nurses were hopeless last week, and was pretty worried about the bleeding couple weeks ago.

Well I went back to the doctors other day and had a HCG blood test and it came back today negative, so I don't know what's up with my body. But the doctor said I should try another HPT in 2-3weeks to be sure.
