    Minimum distance between gas range and vented microwave?
    Can someone tell me what is the minimum (acceptable) distance from range top to bottom of microwave (with outside vent) thanks

    I ~think~ its 20" for an electric range and 24" for a gas one.

    The maker of the microwave will spell out the distance they require above the cook top, it may be more than code but never less than code. Do you have your installation manual?
