    H1B Tax form and deduction
    Hi,
    I am wondering If I should use 1040 NR or 1040 for my tax purpose.I was a H1B visa holder for the whole last year.How much deductions can I claim.Thanks.

    Navin:

    You should file Form 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ.

    At the very minimum, you can claim a $5,000 standard deduction and a $3,200 personal exemption.
