Wiring Limit Switches to an AC Motor / winch
    Hi,
I want to wire two lever arm limit switches to a AC Winch. The winch has a in / out switch.
I want it to to stop at a certain point on the "out" rotation and also on the in rotation.
I need help in how I would go about wiring it. I know it is easy if this was DC, but I need some guidance as I never did it on an AC winch / motor.
    Please help!

I don't understand your question. AC and DC are switched the same way. Put your out limit switch in series with the out operation switch and the in limit in series with the in operator. Need more information to be of better help.

You could use a reversing contactor like used in Gate operators and remote controlled davits. Then have limit switches interrupt the control wires. Then you can use low voltage and smaller conductors for control.
Dc Motors reverse by reversing polarity, Ac motors reverse by reversing 2 of 4 wires.
If you need more info I can draw a little diagram.
Do you have wire numbers on motor like 1+3, 2+4, and 5+8?
