Green discharge weeks after unprotected sex
I had unprotected sex about a month ago and immediately after experienced symptoms identical to those of a yeast infection (itchy vagina, yeast-like smell, white discharge). Although it was my first yeast infection, I treated the symptoms with at-home treatment (garlic and yogurt) about a week after they started and they took about 3 days to go away. The symptoms have just come back now for about a day, except this time I'm less itchy but the discharge is slightly green-ish grey.

I'm under my parent's health care so I'm reticent about going to a doctor because I'm not sure if they'd find out about it. Does this sound like I definitely need to see a gyno? What could it be/are there any at-home treatments? Thank you!

I would go to the doctor for a check up. If for no other reason than you are sexually active and having unprotected sex.

    How old are you?

Go to the doctor, infections that are not treated properly can lead to many health problems.

Definitely. I do plan to start going to a gyno soon-ish, I'm just trying to sort out my health care stuff. I'm 19.

It would not be unheard of for someone your age to start going to a gynocologist. The recommended age is 18 (I think) or sooner if you become sexually active. Most of my bills say very generic things. Have you talked with your mother on wanting to go to the doctor? You could mention that you think you have a yeast infection and you want to get it treated.

At 19 they are not going to discuss your health with your parents. Go get treated. Now if your infection gets into your blood stream or other organs and you are in a coma, or so ill you can't make decisions, you can count on them knowing exactly what the problem is. Go get treated.

So I went to the doctor today, turns out it was just a yeast infection. I was given a Fluconazole tablet and all should be well. Thanks for everyone's input, much appreciated.
