Best bet is to talk to your Probation officer or the attorney you used for your case. Also is it a felony ? 1/2 at times 2/3 more common, some judges not a single day.

Generally you can get the probation terminated if you have paid off all your court imposed fines (if you have any) and have not been in trouble with the probation office at least doing half of the time. In cases where you have say a 5 year probation imposed, you would do best to wait until at least year 3 to ask for early release. In cases of less than a year most judges don't like to release early. Again, each judge and PO are different. It also makes a difference if the caseload in your area is extremely heavy and you did not do any violent crime to get where you are today.

I was a PO for 7 years in MD and in this state once a judge imposes a probation with a fixed expiration date, only the judge can change it and they will only change it for a good reason. I have seen probation ended early so that a person could go into the military or have seen it changed to unsupervised probation for medical and other personal hardship reasons. Some states have phone-in programs that people can be put on after a certain amount of time has gone by and the person remains in compliance. The point is though, that a judge is not likely to change the probation expiration date without a good reason.
