Riding mower turns over slowly, won't start.
I have a Montgomery Ward Signature 2000 riding mower with a 18 hp briggs and Stratton engine. I went to start it this spring but it wouldn't start. I finally got it started but after I shut it off it wouldn't start again, it turns over to slow to start. I tried to jump start it, didn't work, tried a new battery, didn't work, tried another used starter that didn't work either. Does anyone have a sugestion?

Change the battery cables. I had an old chevy pickup, and it did this to me. I changed the battery, the starter, and some guy was in the parts store when I went to have the new battery checked out... Friendly texan as we all are, he said that had happened to him, and he changed the cable from the battery to the starter. So I bought the little 5$ wire and I'll be... It worked!!
    Good luck

Hmm, what about the valves, have you checked to insure they are adjusted properly?
