Your parents have your best interets in mind... I know it doesn't seem like a huge difference, but at 14, the emotional levels between you and him and incredibly different. He is 18, legally he is an adult and he'll be wanting to do adult things. You may not be emotionally ready for the things he wants to do, and your parents probably know that.
When I was 14 I dated an 17 year old for 4 months, thought I was in love, but guess what? He dumped me a week prior to his 18th birthday because he wanted things I couldn't give him. Did it hurt? Yes, but I got over it realising that I wasn't ready for an ADULT relationship.
You could sit down with him and see if he'll really wait for you, then wait it out. Have fun being a 14 year old, don't grow up too fast... cos when you're grown up, you'll wish you were 14 again. :)
