    I have some debt collections
I am wondering because I have some debts to pay off such as mobile phone bills with some collection agencies. I want to know how long they will hold my record on for once I've paid it off? Im on a pension and looking for a job, its slow paying it off. I don't know what else I can do. I want it all done and my name off record

If the accounts are on your credit bureaus, the information will change from "collections" to
"paid collections" once the balance is paid in full. You may have to provide proof to the credit bureaus if the creditor or agency does not report the satisfaction of the account.

Once it has been marked as paid, it can remain on your credit report for 7 years.
