Replacing an Honeywell T6069A thermostat
I want to replace the Honeywell T6069A thermostat in my condo with a digital (programmable or non-programmable) thermostat. As far as I can figure out, (and I may well be wrong here) this is a 110 volt thermostat and fan motor and most good digital use 24v.
There are 5 wires coming out of the back of the Honeywell thermostat but only 4 are connected. As far as I can decode it, these are:
Brown -> Hi Fan Motor
Blue -> Med Fan Motor
Red -> Lo Fan Motor
Black -> L1 (Hot)
Orange -> Not connected
The front of this Honeywell thermostat has a knob to set the temperature and two switches (one to set the fan speed Hi/Med/Lo and the other to set to Heat, Cool or Off). See attached picture.
I would like to change this for some sort of digital thermostat. I am looking for any insight on brand and model that would work as a replacement for this Honeywell T6069A.
Any thoughts/suggestions would be MOST appreciated. Many thanks !

SergeRD did you ever work out a good digital equivalent? I'm trying to do the same thing... even the orange wire isn't connected. The two offerings above seem to be for ether 240v or resistive rather than fan coil. This seem to be a much tougher problem then what I thought when I started.

No I haven't worked out a good digital equivalent YET!! And yes this is a though problem. I am following a lead which I'm told they would have a solution for me. I will post any solution I find here. Stay tune. Should take about a week or so before I get back from them.

The best fit to replace the T6069a seems to be the T6570. So I got one. Now the problem is
The set up of the old T6069a only uses 4 leads. The leads to the fan(brown, blue and red) the black lead goes to L1(Hot) and the orange valve lead.. is insulated as per the manual.
Here's the problem the T6570 needs L2 for common... to power the electronics in the thermostat.
Am I going to need to try and run another line to the thermostat?
Thanks in advance
