    Which side of house is best for chimney?
    I want to add a prefabricated metal chimney and wood stove. Which end of the house east or west would be better? Or does it not make any difference. The prevailing winds are from the northwest.

    You want to locate the chimney so that any glowing embers that could fly out of the chimney are headed away from the rooftop and not onto the roof top where they could catch fire to the roof.
