A while ago I was going out with a boy who I really liked, but my friends kept telling me he was no good and a complete user, which he turned out to be. He kept trying to pressure me into sex and I told him I didn't want to and he pretended he accepted that, but when we were together he would always try and go that bit further. Anyway, after a while we broke up due to a huge argument, but now I really want him back, even though I know it will just be the same. We still talk, but I want more than that.

If you want what's best for both of you and still want to see him then try to avoid being alone with him around people you can trust.

I think you should stay away from him if he hasnb't got the message yet and try to find things to do to keep you occupied and your mind off him. I'm saying this because he clearly wants sex right now and you don't, and if you continue seeing him and talking to him you will be only tempting him to do or say something that will cross that border you want for yourself.

Also the sex drive can be incredibly powerful for some people and he may try to manipulate you into sex or even worse you can be the victim of rape. It may sound far fetched but I personally know women who were raped by their boyfriends when they were teens because they didn't want to have sex.

So play it safe and avoid the situations that may lead him to cross that line of respect.

You already know what it means to be close to him. Why exactly do you need to keep doing that to yourself?

You know it's going to go badly one of two ways:
1) You'll give in unexpectedly sometime and feel truly awful
2) You'll have to keep breaking up because he's not going to stop pressuring

Remember, he can't pressure you in public places. Stop allowing yourself to "go private" with him. Stop completely. That should help some if you can't ignore your feelings to listen to your good sense.
