    My brother is the favourite.
My brother is eighteen now and it's obvious he's my mums favourite still, he's got a slight disbility but nothing serious, but my mum lets him get away with ANYTHING because of it. He's always been her little boy and I think she finds it hard to let go, even though he's 18 and has his own life now, and you can't even tell there's anything wrong with him. He has slight anger problems too, so she's scared the littlelest things will make him angry, so she'll do anything to please him and I think he takes advantage a little bit. Take yesterday for example, I came home and my brother started screaming at me because I 'stole his mp3 player', I simply told him I didn't and walked upstairs but he started yelling at me and calling me all the names under the sun, and my mum just let him get away with it and asked ME to apoligize to HIM. Recently me and my mum have been getting in a few arguments because of it and I hate it. She'll bend over backwards for him and sometimes she even forgets about me..
    Advice please?

The same thing happened to me, my brother had a mental illness and he seemed to get away with everything. Here's what you do go to your mom and say. "mom he is 18 years old, and i need you! you need to stop babying him like he's a child and let him grow up! you need to take care of me now, and just because he gets mad doesn't mean we have to please him, so either you shape up, or you can forget about me doing chores and forget about me doing anything to help around here and you can forget about me ever talking to you!"
I know that sounds harsh but you have to get your point across, your mum needs to be sent a message, she needs to wake up to reality and you need to give the wake up call, just mean what you say and say what you mean and hope fer the best
