    My iPod went in the washer
    Okay, so I'm really freaking out cause I kind of put my iPod in the washer, and I have so much stuff on it and I don't know if it still works, and I scared to turn it on and I really need it because I going to a trip on Thursday, so my question is... will my iPod still work will it be dry in time? Plzzz help me! Ill go crazy without it

    I was told by a friend that you put the switch on hold so it won't turn on and let dry in a room for a week

    Sounds a little funny, but I have tried it with my daughter's cell phone and it works. Put it in a bowl full of rice for 48 hours. The rice soaks up the water.

    Hadn't heard of this for wet electronics, but it makes sense at least in theory... rice is sometimes thrown into salt shakers as a dessicant...

    I did it on my daughter's cell phone. She dropped it in the tub while talking and taking a bubble bath... worked wonders. However, she was impatient waiting the 48 hours to dry it out. LOL
