    Guardianship of a minor
My nieces have been living with us for over a year. I would like to apply for guardianship. The older one is 19 and a full-time student. Could I be guardian for the time that she remains in school or is she too old?

The age of majority ranges - it's 21 in the District of Columbia but you would have to check your State. Or post it and I'll check it out.

She doesn't need a guardian (depending on the age of majority in your State) unless there is some special circumstance.
